The all-weather Yard Contro+™ uses a sophisticated motion detector to detect approaching animals within a 15-foot diameter circle and unleashes a burst of ultrasound, or audible sound if desired, and a startling, pulsing strobe light each time new motion is detected. The unit's sound frequency can be set anywhere from an audible low of 8 KHz (for deer and large animals, and also to provide an audible intruder alarm) to a high of 50 KHz (inaudible ultrasound useful for repelling rats and mice). The motion detector's range can also be adjusted from high (for a thirty-foot circle) to LOW (for a smaller circle) and to any intermediate setting.

The Yard Contro+™ comes in a weatherproof case suitable for mounting on a wall, pole, or tree (hardware provided). These are sufficient to generate at least 10,000 five-second bursts of sound. The Yard Contro+™ can also use AC (110-volt) house current if equipped with the adapter. Each unit comes with a built-in test mode button and a 1-year limited warranty.
